Nikki Fitzsimmons

Medical Aesthetician/Physician Grade Skin Care Specialist

When I was ten, I was inspired to find out more about a career in the beauty business because my dear neighbor was a cosmetologist and I was fascinated watching her work. From that point on, my parents guided me through taking the cosmetology program in high school and after graduating I began my work as a hair stylist and nail technician. After several years doing hair and nails, I was given a gift card for a facial for myself and realized skin care was my true calling.

From my own experience a new passion was born and I continued my education at Atelier Esthetique Institute of Esthetics in New York City. I shifted gears with my career and joined a high-end spa as an esthetician for 16 years. During that time I learned much and always participated in advanced training. However, I knew I wanted to take my skin care plans for my clients further and decided to join a medi spa so that I could offer highly effective, physician grade treatments to my valued clients. Being obsessed with skin care, I love to see people overcome their skin care challenges and reach their aesthetic goals. It is beyond gratifying to be a part of the process because I know I am able to help educate people so that they achieve exceptional results.

When I am not working with my clients, I enjoy spending time with my son hiking, going to the beach (always with physician grade sunblock on), bike riding and antique shopping. I am also an avid gardener and enjoy my organic harvests knowing that what we put in our bodies, along with what we use on our skin, works in combination to bring out our true beauty.

Mackenzie Hedges

Medical Aesthetician/Physician Grade Skin Care Specialist

As a teenager I became passionate about skin care because I struggled with acne issues and was always seeking a solution to improve my skin. I lived in Arizona for many years and in the desert sun, I learned the importance of protecting my skin.

By the time I graduated from high school, there was no question that I wanted to pursue a career as an esthetician. Twenty years later, I am even more passionate about taking care of my own skin but just as importantly, helping others reach their skin care goals. It is so gratifying to witness my clients’ skin improve and the confidence that comes with feeling good about how they look.

I enjoy building relationships with my clients so that I can be of assistance helping them through all of the challenges they face with their skin at each point in their lives. In seeking to further my education and wanting to grow professionally, I evolved my career from a spa setting to a medi spa setting where I am able to treat with the lastest physician grade products and modalities to provide even more effective treatment plans for my clients.

I am a busy mom of two girls and enjoy spending time with them, watching them learn and grow. I practice yoga and believe taking care yourself inside and out is the key to bringing out your natural glow.

Kendra Lacey

Medical Aesthetician/Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist/Certified Laser Technician

I became an esthetician over 25 years ago and due to my passion for skin care, I sought continuing education courses that enabled me to evolve my career into medical aesthetics.

I love helping my clients achieve results through modalities that are utilized in the medi spa setting. Under Dr. Verma’s supervision, I am able to provide gratifying results through nonsurgical treatments for the face and body such as Coolsculpting, laser hair removal, photo facials, PRP for skin and hair loss, as well as many other services.

The relationships I have built with my clients throughout the years is my favorite part of my work.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, children and our dogs. I enjoy outdoor activities and believe positive self-care is the first step to looking and feeling your best.

Tara Jean McDonald

Medispa Manager and Marketing Specialist

I studied Marketing and Theater at Fordham University in New York City. Upon graduating, I worked for an advertising company in New York while performing in local off-Broadway theaters and TV commercials. As time passed, I became more and more drawn to marketing and writing and thoroughly enjoyed being part of this exciting field.

Fast forward to recent years, where my passion for marketing, acting and all things beautiful led me to work at a medispa helping to promote, market and manage the growing practice. I have an affinity for blogging, social media marketing and website design. The beauty of my position at La Fleur also allows me to be part of the  team where I am able to develop relationships with our amazing clients and assist them throughout their appointments. I love this aspect of my work because I feel it is important to make people smile and feel comfortable both as they arrive and as they are leaving. I most enjoy promoting the Doctor and all of our talented and skilled providers, believing they are the most exceptional team of any medispa.

On quiet days, I spend time with my three lovely daughters and fiancé. I enjoy music, theater and movies both as a viewer and as a performer.

I believe that with today’s technology and the right guidance, we are able to maintain the beautiful looks we were born with and stay forever young.

Medical Assistant

Stephanie Zelaya

Certified Medical Assistant/Certified CoolSculpting Specialist

I have always enjoyed helping others and found the medical field interesting. After graduating high school, I pursued my education in medical assisting and upon becoming certified, began my career.

I met Dr. Verma when I was a client of hers and immediately admired her enthusiasm for aesthetic medicine. This relationship led to the doctor inviting me to join her practice and soon I shared Dr. Verma’s passion for the specialty. I take advantage of all continuing education cources available to best serve and treat our clients. In the process, I became La Fleur’s CoolSculpting Specialist. In this role, I treat clients 1-on-1 to address their body sculpting concerns and advise them on treatment plans to achieve their goals. I love sharing my client’s excitement when they compare their before and after photos – it is the most rewarding part of my position!

When not at work, I enjoy hitting the gym and spending time with my family. I believe in living a healthful, plant-based lifestyle and know that beauty glows from within.
